What is an "Organized Binder"?

A critical part of a student's successful transition into middle school is learning how to organize themselves. Your student will learn a system to reduce clutter, take pride in turning in quality work, and how to become more accountable for their own achievement in school.

We hope that through using their "Organized Binder", they will become better equipped to transition smoothly from a contained classroom to being responsible for 6 different classes.

Some of tools that we will use are:
  • One binder for all of their subjects.
  • Taking home their binder nightly.
  • Update the homework sheet daily during classes.
  • Keeping pencil pouch filled with supplies for each day
  • Having a specific order and system for organizing their binder.
  • All papers must be attached to rings - never in pockets
  • Being accountable for maintaining their binder through regular "binder checks".
